L.H.C.C. is...
an Inter-denominational Christian church with membership in Churches of God, General Conference. We focus on having a relationship with God through Jesus Christ & the major beliefs of the Christian faith, and not on the minor differences that often separate people of faith.
L.H.C.C. is committed to working with others in the body of Christ who:
Believe that Jesus of Nazareth was crucified, buried and raised from the dead to assume all power and authority.
Accept the bible as the Word of God and is authoritative for all faith and practice.
Are committed to expanding the Kingdom of God on the earth.
What follows is a more complete statement of what we believe:
We believe in one God eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus Christ and in His pre-existence. He became incarnate and was truly human and wholly God. The characteristics of Jesus’ divinity are the very characteristics of God. He died, was resurrected, ascended into heaven and will come to receive those who trust Him as Lord and Savior that we may be with Him forever.
We believe in the deity and person of the Holy Spirit, His indwelling presence, regenerating work, empowering baptism, spiritual gifts and equipping ministry in the church today.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, our only rule of faith and practice and is fully reliable and trustworthy. The central message of the Bible is the good news that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who rules and reigns in the Kingdom of God.
We believe people matter to God. Because of sin, humanity is now marred with a sinful nature. However, we also have the potential of becoming new creatures in Christ. We are created free moral agents and are accountable to God for our choices.
We believe that salvation is only through Jesus Christ who is God’s offer of salvation from sin. We receive God’s salvation and are born again by the Holy Spirit when we personally repent and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ and through God’s grace that we are saved.
We believe marriage is a lifetime covenant commitment between God and one man and one woman.
We believe the church is God’s called-out people to be a spiritual family, a witness to Christ and to proclaim the reign of God through Jesus Christ until His return.
We believe that to be a disciple of Jesus Christ is to know life in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit helps us grow into the image of Christ, empowers us to experience the process of healing and freedom from bondage and to grow in a deeper relationship with God.
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ, His dominion over things in heaven and in earth and the bodily resurrection of believers.
L.H.C.C. also participates with other Spring-Ford area ministries and networks in our region.
